Schengen Visas

The Schengen visa allows travellers to enter a Schengen country and to travel through the entire Schengen area:

• Depending on the validity period of the visa and
• On the duration of stay as stated on the visa.

A Schengen visa is issued by the embassy of the country you are planning to visit.

This visa allows you to enter any one of the Schengen member countries on a single visa which is inserted in your passport. It is valid for any purpose.

The Schengen countries include:

Smooth Immigration will be able to apply for a visa on your behalf at the Austrian and French Consulates.

A few important notes:

• If you are visiting one Schengen country you will have to apply for your visa at the Consulate or Embassy of that country.
• If you are visiting several Schengen countries you will have to apply at the Consulate or Embassy of the country which is your main destination or longest stay. If you do not have a main destination, use the country which is your first point of entry.
• If you stay in two countries for the same period of time you will have to apply at the consulate of the country which is your first port of entry (through which you will enter first).
